During the height of the season you will often find members of Lisa & Randy’s extended family at Kenai Wildlife Cabins, working to provide our guests a wonderful experience.
Morgan is Lisa’s eldest daughter. With a degree in Forensic Science, see currently works as a hospital lab technician. Morgan first visited Alaska in 2015, and fell in love with the mountains!
Sarah is Lisa’s second daughter. She is pursuing a degree in Robotics & Electrical Engineering technology – the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree! Sarah has spent part of her summers here in Alaska since 2015, and enjoys the wildlife.
JoAnn is Lisa’s mother. Retired from bank management, she travels extensively when she is not volunteering in her Western NY hometown. She first visited Alaska in 2013, and has since returned with friends and family to share many Alaskan adventures.
Mira & Izzy are our onsite security staff. They are always on the look out for our local four-legged visitors!
From our family to yours, welcome to Kenai Wildlife Cabins, and may all your Alaskan dreams come true!
Lisa Feuz & Randy Wortman
Lisa grew up in rural western New York state, in the heart of the snow belt. She enjoys outdoor activities ranging from hiking and biking to fishing and hunting. Despite extensive travel throughout the world, Alaska was her one dream destination. After a trip to the Kenai Peninsula in 2014, she fell in love with this great state and started plans for a life in Alaska. A mechanical engineer by degree, she worked for over 23 years as a project manager in construction and manufacturing. In 2016 Lisa retired from the corporate world to pursue the dream of Kenai Wildlife Cabins.
Randy hails from Pennsylvania. He is a fishing fanatic, accomplished hunter, and experienced outdoorsman. He has commercial fished Bristol Bay, and operated a wilderness camp on the Nushagak River in Western Alaska. Randy has been tying flies commercially for 30 years, and his flies are available on site. After more than 35 years managing his own residential construction business, Randy has retired to Alaska – but you will still find examples of his craftsmanship around the property.
Kenai Wildlife Cabins is situated on over 2½ acres, tucked into a lovely clearing among stunning lush forests and overlooking snow-capped mountains of the distant Chugach National Forest mountain range. Although it's an easy drive from the main road, it really feels very secluded – a world away.
Enjoy all the amenities of home in one of our cabins. Guests will enjoy the rustic fire pit and sitting area, or relaxing on the porch with an early morning coffee or after a day of sightseeing. Watch the wildlife in the neighboring Kenai National Wildlife Refuge – you may even see a moose wander through the property!
Kenai Wildlife Cabins is just a 3-minute drive or 15-minute walk from the world famous Kenai River at Morgan's Landing State Park, where you can fish from the bank.
